"What a cool picture"
We have 13 really great children...
Who are the "Sgros" and how'd
they get to Guatemala?
Good question! One we as ourselves too! Ok, long story - short. I taught karate full time for 25 years (1985-2009). In 2004 (age 44) I went on my first "Short Term Missions Trip". I brought 3 of my 13 children, Mike "Frankie" Fraley, and the Abners. We gave karate demos and shared our love for Jesus Christ. (Hal Abner, had been visiting Guatemala prior to this, and set this trip up).
I was "hooked"! I fell in love with Guatemala. It was "love at first sight!" I didn't want to leave when the trip was over, and I knew "I'd be back." In 2007 I returned with a slightly larger group. At this point I seriously began thinking about "moving on to the Mission Field", but lets face it...47 yrs old, 12 children, owned a business, house payment, car payment, life, etc, etc,etc... Was this possible, or was it just a dream?
Another visit in 2008, and the desire to move and serve in Guatemala is growing stronger. 2009 the Lord called us. He made His will clear and definite. June 2010, Guatemala - here we are!
