GO! Ministries
​(Guatemala Outreach) History:
In 2000 David Sgro opened ACMA (Academy of Christian Martial Arts) in Fayetteville, NC.  In 2002 his student, Hal Abner, told him about "Operation Shoe Box" (where you fill a Shoe Boxes with Christmas Items and for a Ministry in Guatemala).  ACMA filled 100 boxes in 2002, and 300 boxes every year until 2008.  In 2004 David Sgro went on his first Short Term Mission Trip to Xela, Guatemala, sharing the Gospel through Martial Arts. As he boarded the airplane to return to the US, he knew he left part of his heart behind in Guatemala, and he knew (Lord willing) he would return.  He went again several times from 2006 to 2009. Several weeks before he went on his 2009 mission trip, the Lord called him to full-time ministry.  He moved to Guatemala, and lived there full time from 2010 - 2013.  In 2013 he relocated back to the US and continued visiting Guatemala on a regular basis ever since.  GO! Ministries expanded to the Philippines in 2015. In 2022 GO! Ministries planted its first Church in Cruz Ayapan, amongst the very poor Indigenous Mayans in a very rural mountainous village.  GO! Ministries recently purchased a Team House and are fundraising to build additional rooms to house Short Term Mission Teams.
